Paul Poteet is all over Woof Boom Radio, hosting morning drive since 2020 on WLQQ/Lafayette, and in afternoon drive since 2015 on WERK-FM/Muncie. Paul started as a disc jockey in Huntington and Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1979 and was first on the air in Indy while a teenager in 1982. He first did weather in on TV in 1986 for Channel 4. He’s always done radio while doing television. Paul also began doing voiceovers and corporate narrations in the early 80s. You may have heard him on TV commercials for places like Family Leisure. He’s been a voice for projects as varied as medical treatments for Eli Lilly, and dolphin shows at the Indy Zoo. In addition to diversifying within media, Poteet is also diversified outside of it. In 2011 he purchased a business run for years by his friend, the late meteorologist Cliff Nicholson. “Weather History Research” provides data on past weather events, primarily to insurance companies and attorneys around the country. When he’s not working Paul is often running, having completed over a dozen half-marathons and two marathons, including the Inaugural Monumental Marathon in Indy and the famous New York City race. He and “Mrs. Poteet” have been married 40 years in December 2021, and are the proud parents of Nolan and Graham. Graham and his wife have three kids, and so his other hobby is babysitting.
