Lovin’ Local is an excellent story of how we worked collectively to develop a fantastic idea, collaborated on it across markets, and hit a revenue home run. Andy and Deb looked at something that Muncie had done. Working with Lindsay, who had organized a similar campaign in Indiana, they devised a plan that the entire Ohio sales team embraced.
Woof Boom Radio is getting our listeners to shop at our local businesses by allowing them to win gift certificates from local businesses. We will give away gift certificates from 32 local businesses starting Monday, November 28th. We set a goal of $25,000 for the promotion. The Sales Staff went over and above that goal. They sold a total of $31,700. According to Deb, it’s been one of if not the best programs we’ve ever done regarding the number of businesses that have bought it. The sales staff is currently out buying those certificates from the sponsors to be given away in November and December. So it’s a vast programming feature, too, as we will give away over 120 gift cards. Seven a day for almost three weeks.
