Fighting an injury that limited his running ability, Jim Stone completed the Indy Mini on Saturday, May 7th. He finished the race at 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 24 seconds. He is planning to run another mini-marathon in October with the goal of running the whole thing.
“By about mile 11, everything fell apart, but then I heard behind me, ‘Man, they’ll let anybody run this race.’ West Lafayette Mayor John Dennis gave me the push I needed to finish.”
Finishers of the Indy Mini are encouraged the kiss the infamous bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
