Meet Garry Svetic, Muncie, ON-AIR. Garry is a music fan and radio enthusiast. In his free time, he enjoys watching concert videos on YouTube, particularly performances of bands from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. Garry also DJs at weddings, reunions, and parties. To relax, he enjoys reading or solving crossword puzzles.
Garry joined the Woof Boom family in 2022, which was a significant milestone for Garry, who began his radio journey later in life at the age of 37. Garry embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm, driven by the opportunity to do what he always considered wanting to do but didn’t know how he was going to get there.
Garry has always loved radio, dating back to his childhood days of creating radio shows on cassette tapes using a simple karaoke microphone. Playing the roles of the host, the weatherman, and the musical entertainer, Garry’s early love for radio paved the way for his rewarding role at Woof Boom.
Garry also enjoys his job at Woof Boom because it helps him connect with his family in a unique way. His mom, who lives in Lowell, IN, tunes in to every show through the app, bridging the gap of miles between them. At home, Garry shares his space with his dog Nugget, a yellow lab, and Ellcy, a cat who rules the house.
